Connect your Google account
Sign in to Google from Nautilo Desktop and start using your account with your Genie. No Google Cloud setup required.
You just need to sign in. Your server administrator handles Google's one-time setup. You do not need Google Cloud, API keys, or a credentials file.
Connect in Nautilo Desktop
- Open Connections → Apps & accounts → Google Workspace. If it says setup is needed or the integration is unavailable, ask your server administrator to enable it. That part is theirs to do.
- Enter your address in Google email to connect, then choose Continue with Google. Your Google address can differ from your Nautilo login.
- Finish sign-in in the browser that opens on the same computer. Check the account and requested permissions, then approve access. These include write access and additional Google services beyond the tools currently available. If Google shows an unverified-app warning, confirm the app with your administrator before continuing.
- Return to Nautilo and look for Connected on this device.
- Open a private conversation with your Genie and ask:
What's on my Google Calendar today?
You're done when your Genie retrieves your calendar. Keep Nautilo Desktop running and connected while using Google through this connection. Personal Google sign-in currently happens in Desktop, not the web or mobile app.
Use private conversations for private mail or documents. Retrieved Google data can reach your Nautilo Server and its model providers, and becomes part of the conversation you requested it in.
Need a hand?
Setup is missing, or Google blocks sign-in
Send your server administrator the error message and this one-time server setup guide. They handle the Google project, permissions, and organization approval. You should not have to create a project or upload a JSON file yourself.
For a browser callback error, keep Desktop open and start Continue with Google again on the same computer. Use the new sign-in flow rather than an old link.
Reconnect, change accounts, or disconnect
Use Change account or Disconnect on the Google Workspace card. An expired connection offers Reconnect, Use a different Google account, and Remove account.
Normal access renewal is automatic. If you are asked to reconnect every seven days, tell your administrator: the Google app may still be in Testing. They can correct the publishing status; you then reconnect once. You do not need to repeat the server setup. Google can still require a fresh sign-in after access is revoked or account security changes.
