Your first hour

The point of your first hour is not to finish a settings tour. It is to create one piece of work with a Genie, change it yourself, and keep the result.

Before you begin, sign in as a verified member. Completing a Server invitation creates your personal Genie. On first sign-in, choose Customize Genie in the welcome prompt. If you skipped it, use Settings → My agents instead. If My agents says that you do not own an Agent, there is no self-service control for creating another Agent in this release; ask your operator to investigate your account provisioning.

Your operator must also have configured a model and allowed you to invoke Genies and write artifacts. If New conversation…, Apps, or New document is missing, ask your operator to check those account capabilities. You do not need to be the Server owner.

1. Install Desktop or open the web client, then sign in to the Server your operator gave you.
2. Finish customizing your Genie. Give them a name, look, voice, and working character you can recognize.
3. Click Rooms, choose New conversation…, select your Genie, and choose Open chat with [Genie name]. Send a plain-language message so you know the conversation works.
4. Open Apps, find Writer, and choose New document. Keep Create in set to Workspace, give the document a name, and create it. This path works even when the Server has no existing documents.
5. Edit the new document yourself. Ask your Genie to make a change, then accept or reject the reviewable proposal.
6. Wait for Writer to show Saved. You can then continue from the durable Workspace document or export a Word copy.

That loop—communicate, create, intervene, continue—is the thing to prove.
