Delete a Nautilo Mobile account
Permanently delete the account on one named Nautilo Server or start a request without the app.
Account deletion applies to one named Nautilo Server. It does not silently delete accounts on any other Server saved on your phone.
Delete the account in Mobile
- Sign in to the Server whose account you want to delete.
- Open Settings.
- Under Your Account, choose Delete account.
- Read the named Server and deletion boundary shown on screen.
- Reauthenticate and confirm Delete account.
Deletion applies only to the account on the named Server. Other saved Nautilo Servers and their accounts are not affected. After the Server confirms deletion, Mobile removes that Server's local registration from the phone.
This is different from removing a saved Server. Removing a saved Server clears the phone's registration but does not ask the Server to delete the account or its data.
When deletion must stop first
Mobile explains the required next step instead of silently deleting shared work when:
- the account is the Server's last owner;
- the account owns shared Rooms that must be reassigned or deleted first; or
- another Server is the authority for a federated account.
Complete the named ownership or authority step, then return to the deletion screen. The Server rechecks eligibility when deletion is confirmed.
Start a request without the app
For an account on an independently operated Nautilo Server, contact that Server's operator and state that you want the account on that Server deleted. The operator controls the Server and is the party able to verify the request, explain its retention rules, and complete any ownership transfer required for shared work.
For data handled through Kentauros Services, start from the Contact and changes section of the Nautilo privacy notice. Kentauros cannot delete data held only by an independently operated Server.
Do not include a password, recovery code, session token, owner credential, or other authentication secret in an account-deletion request. A Server operator may need to verify identity through that Server's normal authentication flow.
What may remain
The responsible Server operator must explain its retention policy and any records it must preserve for security, legal, dispute, or abuse-prevention purposes. Connected identity or service providers may also have their own deletion and retention processes.
See Use Nautilo Mobile for connection recovery and the boundary between removing a saved Server and deleting its account.
